JD – Performance Engineer

Yantriks India is looking for full time highly energetic Performance engineers to work on the Yantriks products.
There are plenty of technical challenges with the role and if you are someone with a good appetite to learn new technologies then you shouldn’t hesitate in applying for the job.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design & Develop highly complex test scenarios using one of the performance test automation tools
• Setup test environment deploying the latest software and product builds and validating them. Test environments can be Virtual Machines or it can be PODS provided by customers on their data centres or on cloud data centres
• Execute Full fledged Performance tests, Integration tests and also longevity/endurance tests independently.
• Monitor the ongoing tests using open source tools
• Troubleshooting and Find Performance bottlenecks to improve the Response time of the applications under test.
• Participate in design and development of skeleton/stub components for the successful integration tests..
• Develop automation utilities and scripts that help to automate mundane tasks.
• Participate in capacity planning/Hardware sizing exercise in staging/Performance environment & Production environment.
• Participate in status meetings with Project stakeholders on need basis.
• Gather and validate the NFR’s shared by customers/stakeholders.
• Mentor the team members on Performance test activities as the need arises.
• Analyse the Performance test runs and report defects and share the findings.
• Prepare and review Performance Test reports

Technical skills
Mandatory Skills

• JMeter (Should be an Expert)
• Java and Data structures
• Python/R
• Linux perf commands & Shell scripting
• SQL knowledge.
• Telegraph, Influx, Grafana for Application monitoring.
• Ubuntu OS.
• Cassandra or any NOSQL DB
• Hazelcast or any IMDG
• Tomcat/Netty
• Kafka
• Understanding of REST API’s
• Thread Dump analysis, GC logs analysis, Heap dump analysis.

Good to have skills.

• Hands on in distributed tracing – zipkin, etc.
• Understanding of reactive applications
• Experience with GCP/AWS/Azure or any other cloud service provider
• Glowroot & Flame graphs for diagnostics
• Understanding of Microservices architecture
• Ecommerce and Retailer domain understanding

Education

• Full-time Bachelor’s /Master’s degree (Technology or Engineering preferred)
