    Also, while suggesting pt tool, what should one prefer..licensed or open source?
    This is one of the recurring question from client that licensed tools r costly & how can they trust open source tool results..
    Pls shed some light on this too!

    1. Hi Shrada,

      Client's concern is also valid because they spend in millions and why should they trust on open source tool result. This is one point.

      The another point is some clients do not want to spent money when open source is available.

      Both the points need to be considered after analyzing the client mentality. The best solution is do a small POC (include only login and logout transactions) and run a test with open-source and licensed PT tool and present both the reports to client.

      Trust on Open Source: If you check on Google, many cloud based performance testing tools support Apache JMeter and other open source tool's script. So there is no harm to trust on them. Also, if client has any doubt then present the reports as mentioned above.
